Mrs. Nichole Murray

My oh my, what a ride the last few weeks have been!! Where do I begin??
Let's start with Jesse and Sierra arriving here in friendly and bitterly cold Manitoba. They made it through the horrible weather, and I couldn't have been more blessed to have them here with us! It was so good to catch up and spend some stressful but fun times together.

The Tuesday before the wedding I had an interview at the Steinbach Medical Clinic, I left the interview feeling a little bit disappointed, getting the feeling that I wouldn't be getting a full time job since Mr. Pauls felt it would be better to finish school. On December 18th, the day before the wedding I get a phone call saying I have a full time job if I want it! So I will not be finishing school, but starting a new full time job on January 5th! Sam and I could not be happier.

Now on to the wedding.. The day was fabulous! I was overwhelmed by all the support from friends and family, the day went off without a hitch.. (other than cake instead of trifle) :) Everyone made it down the dreaded stair case without tripping, and the bad weather held out just long enough. I was especially excited to see three full tables filled with friends from the Hill! By now it all seems like a dream, all the planning and stress is all done in a day. I am attempting to put some pictures on my facebook so be sure to check them out.

Our honeymoon was delightful, for our first night we stayed at.. oh my i'm drawing a blank.. a really nice hotel in Winnipeg. Sam's parents got us a theme room with a heart shaped jacuzzi and king size bed.. it was such a treat. After our first night we spent the rest of our time in a cabin in Big Whiteshell. We had the whole place to ourselves, but to be honest I never left the cabin.

And now we start our lives together. So far things have gone smoothly, it is obviously a little bit of an adjustment, learning to live together. We are still overwhelmed by all the support and prayers from our family and friends, and we are incredibly blessed to have all of them!

8 sleeps.. YIKES!

So here I am, a week and a day til I am Mrs. Nichole Murray! Yikes, it's hard to believe. 2 years ago it was close to Christmas break, and I was telling Sam I wasn't really interested in him "that way", over an email!! Brutal! :) It's neat to look back and see how the Lord has worked in our individual lives, and in our relationship! This week has been fairly intense, my emotions have been running wild, causing tears at any random moment. I have been blessed with a very understanding fiance, and a very understanding family!! I think it's really hitting my family that I won't be around very much longer, the four of us are going out for dinner tonight and I'm really excited!
Jesse and Sierra are going to be here on Sunday!! I'm hoping Sam will have the house somewhat cleaned by the time they are here, so Jesse has some room to sleep :) But I am under strict orders that I am not to worry about that!!
Well God is most certainly good, and He has been getting me through the business this time is bringing, on my own I'd be a mess!! Well I'm off to get the hair ripped off my legs.. :( Oh the things we put ourselves through!
Niki.. out.

I'm now a blogger!

Ok, so here I am, making myself my very own blog! Holy shnikies! So obviously I'm pretty new at this blogging thing so bear with me. So this week has been pretty intense so far. Monday I had shower #3 at Candace's, I got some more great gifts as well as some beautiful collages made by the girls who came. :) Tuesday was moving day, we got Sam all moved in to our "new" house. Sam's mom and I spent a good chunk of the afternoon scrubbing walls and cupboards, then all his stuff got moved in the afternoon and evening. It feels weird to have him as a neighbor, but it will sure save on our gas money!
It's hard to believe it's only 2 weeks till the wedding, I don't think it has really hit me yet. There's only a few little things to finish up and then we're ready to go. The dresses finally came in this week (Thank you Lord!) And instead of paying over $100 dollars to get them altered at Stellas, we found a lady in Blumenort who will do them for $25! So just as my mom said it would, everything is working out!
Well I'm off to class, ciao for now!
